Getting there:

By transfers:

As there are no direct buses that make the trip between Confins Airport and Ouro Preto directly, the SBRC 2012 organizing committee is offering a transfer service, in van or micro-buses, that must be reserved directly with the official travel agency, Ello Turismo & Viagens.

We are making transfers available according to the following schedule:

On April 29, Sunday: transfers from Confins to Ouro Preto at 2:30 pm, 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm
On April 30, Monday: transfers from Confins to Ouro Preto at 2:30 pm
On May 04, Friday: transfers from Ouro Preto to Confins at 6:30 am and 2:30 pm
On May 05, Saturday: transfers from Ouro Preto to Confins at 4:00 pm, 8:00 pm and 12:00 pm

The cost will be R$50 per leg (R$100 round-trip). There are no requirements regarding minimum number of reservations.

Reservations must be made with the travel agency directly. When you contact them, please make sure you provide the following information: name, passport number, and flight data (flight numbers, dates and times). That information is essential for the agency to complete the reservation.

We have negotiated with the travel agency that in those four days, specially on Monday, new transfer times may be set in case we have a minimum number of requests. Only in the cases when the times chosen do not meet your needs on those days, please send a message to translados@sbrc2012.dcc.ufmg.br with you name, passport number, and flight details (dates, numbers and times) so we can see what can be done in each case.

To make your reservation, contact Pollyana, at Ello Turismo, by email or by phone +55 31 2129 0029. Make sure to tell her the time of your arrival at Confins as well as the time you wish to leave Ouro Preto.

Transfer reservations must be made until April 24 to make sure there is time for processing them. Requests made after that deadline, specially if for other times, may go unfulfilled.

Note that: departures from Ouro Preto back to Confins Airport should happens at least 4 hours before national flights and 5 hours before international flights.

If the available schedule does not suit your needs, you can hire a private transfer, also with Ello Turismo. The car can take up to 3 people and costs R$ 325,00 each way.

By car:

If you want to rent a car, the easiest way to get to Ouro Preto from Belo Horizonte is to take BR040, towards Rio de Janeiro. After running about 20 km, enter the roundabout towards Ouro Preto (BR356) and go straight to town.

If you are arriving at the Confins airport and plan to go by bus to Ouro Preto, the best way is to take an airport bus to the Bus Station, and from there take a bus straight to Ouro Preto. Bus schedules for from Confins to the Bus Station are available here.
