VIII Workshop on Dynamic Networks and P2P Systems (WP2P)

The Workshop on Dynamic Networks and P2P Systems (WP2P), which in 2012 will be the 8th edition, aims to provide a forum to discuss the state-of-the-art and recent research challenges on theory, technology and applications of dynamic networks and P2P systems. The WP2P is traditionally a important forum for researchers, students and professionals to present works that has been developed by universities, research centers and companies interested in those topics. The Workshop will take place in conjunction with the XXX Brazilian Symposium on Computer Networks and Distributed Systems, in Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais, between April 30th and May 4th of 2012.

In this edition, the WP2P will promote discussion on the research and development of P2P systems and dynamic networks. The workshop program will consist of presentation of technical papers which bring new scientific results and a panel in which researchers will discuss about topics related to works presented on technical sessions.

Paper submission:

Authors are invited to submit theoretical and experimental works on the development of applications related to (but not limited only to) one of the topics listed in the following :

  • New P2P and dynamic networks systems ans services;
  • Architecture and topology of overlay networks;
  • Content storage and dissemination in P2P networks;
  • Data flow in P2P systems;
  • Performance and robustness of P2P networks;
  • Fault tolerance of P2P networks;
  • P2P service discovery and composition;
  • Security and trust management on dynamic systems;
  • Economy in P2P systems;
  • Technique, environment and toolkits for P2P programming;
  • Routing and multicasting in mobile, ah hoc and P2P networks;
  • P2P networks over mobile and wireless networks;
  • Dynamic networks management
  • Traffic analyses on dynamic systems;
  • Load characterizations and simulation of networks in dynamic systems

Submissions will occur happen exclusively electronically throughout SBC’s home page (https://submissoes.sbc.org.br/chair.cgi?c=1503). Submitted papers may be written in  English or in Portuguese, only in PDF format. The text must be contain no more than 14 pages, including abstracts (in Portuguese and in English), figures, diagrams, references and attachments. The text must follow the SBC’s template, available at http://www.sbc.org.br/template.

All papers submitted to WP2P will be reviewed by a set of members of the technical program committee. Selected works will be organized to presentations and will appear on the event proceedings. Each accepted paper must have at least one of the authors registered for both SBRC and WP2P. And, one of the authors must attend the workshop to present the paper.
